Heights Casino: New PSA Touring Pro E-Squash bulletin- Sept 6th 2016

Our new PSA Touring Pro

As you all know we are currently looking for a new squash pro to replace Annelize's position. We have already had a lot of applications so we are hoping to have our great new pro start here soon.

Some great news is that we are also adding Haley Mendez, to our coaching team. She will be our 'PSA Touring Pro' and she will be coaching at the Casino when she is not away competing or training.

Haley has grown up playing her whole life at the Heights Casino and attending Packer.

Haley was one of the best juniors in the USA in all age groups. She played for the USA in 3 world juniors championships and in the final one, the US finished in second place, which is the best result in men's or women's US squash history so far.

Haley went on to play and graduate from Harvard, where she was captain for the last 2 years and they were 3 time National collegiate champions.

Haley also did private, tournament and camp coaching throughout her 4 years at Harvard.

Haley is now about to embark on her PSA Pro Squash career and will be using the Casino her main training base when she is in the US.

We are incredibly happy to have Haley join our coaching team and have our juniors be exposed and inspired by a young PSA pro player.

Haley will also be competing in our very own Carol Weymuller PSA tournament next month, so please be sure to come and support and cheer her on.

Haley is also very happy to talk to any juniors or parents about the college squash process and/or juggling school work and competitive athletics.

Haley is giving her first batch of private lessons this Friday Sept 9th at the annex and still has the following lessons available.....2.45pm/3.30pm/4.15pm
