Double Gold for Team USA!!!

The PanAm games wrapped up Saturday night (24th) and then it was a very quick turn around for me to get to San Francisco for Sunday morning (25th). It was an amazing week in Hartford for both the men's and women's teams who both managed to win the gold medal in the team event!

At the beginning of the week I went into the individual event with no expectations as it was my first competitive match in 18th months! Excited just to be back on the court competing again, I managed to beat world #90 Diana Garcia of Mexico in the semis to reach the finals, eventually falling to fellow teammate Mariam Kamal in the final. Later on in the week team USA finished strong, sneaking past Columbia 2-1in the semis and then Mexico 2-1 in the finals to win the team event!

I couldn't have asked for a better week to kick off my first PSA season leaving with a silver and gold medal!
