England Inter County Championships

The Inter County Championships are the largest event that England Squash runs, with more than 2,000 players representing their counties in 22 categories throughout the season across senior, masters and junior categories.

The Senior Championships provide competitive opportunities for players beyond club level in a team environment, and the opportunity to represent your county.

Gloucestershire ladies team has been in the premier devision for the last 10 years and went into the weekend facing the fear of relegation, being seeded in the bottom two teams of the devision. Looking forward to playing for the county for the first time, I went into the weekend not knowing what to expect, hoping to do my part as a first time representative to keep the team in the top devision.

After a disappointing losses to both Sussex and Essex, the pressure was on to beat Yorkshire to stay in the premier devision. With an exciting 3-2 finish, Gloucestershire evaded relegation and was able to celebrate another season in the top devision!
