The Tournament of Champions can trace its distinguished international squash lineage back to 1930 when it was first staged as the “U.S. Professional.” In the late 70’s it became the World Professional Squash Championships and then the Tournament of Champions in 1992. A women’s invitational draw was added to the event in 2001 with a full championship draw added in 2002-2003, 2005-2007 and 2012 forward. The tournament is the oldest, annual competition for squash professionals in the world.

The PSA and I-Events are delighted to announce that the prize money for October’s CIB PSA Women’s World Championship will now total $430,000 after title sponsors CIB pledged an additional $100,000 into the prize fund – meaning that for the first time ever the Women’s event will have a bigger prize purse than the men’s !!!

The 2019-20 CIB PSA Women’s World Championship is the most prestigious women’s squash tournament and will be held in front of the iconic Great Pyramid of Giza – the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World – between24th October and 1st November.

U.S. Open Championships

The U.S. Open is the first of eight PSA Platinum events of the 2019-2020 PSA World Tour season. After becoming the first major event to offer prize money parity in 2013, the U.S. Open will offer equal prize money for a seventh straight year with a record $371,000 split evenly between the forty-eight-player men’s and women’s draws.
